When I adopted my Bichon Frise from the ASPCA four years ago he was a troubled little fellow. His owner had lost her home, so they had been living on the streets of Manhattan. My dog was a nervous wreck and a compulsive alarm barker. He even barked at the garbage bags out on the street at night. It was difficult living with him in the house and walking him outside in public.
A friend referred me to a dog intuitive that came to my house and worked with my dog for about an hour.
